We stock a selection of different kinds of olives, some of which are stuffed with various tasty fillings such as garlic, chilli and feta. Most of the olives we stock are preserved in oil or water and salts. Once considered sacred, this delightful little fruit has many health qualities and is now consumed throughout the world. The juice of the olive, or its oil, is a great source of antioxidants. Olive oil is monounsaturated, and has a positive effect on the cholesterol level in our blood streams. As well as this, the oils from olives help to control our blood sugar levels, which means that our insulin levels are also controlled. Insulin is a large decider of how much of our food is stored in our bodies as fat.
